Usage[ännern]

This template should be added to all main categories of languages.

Parameters[ännern]

The template uses only the parameter 1 to call the language name. All other parameters are optional but should be used if applicable.

1: Language code. See Wiktionary:Spraken.

2 to 91: Countries where it is spoken. See Kategorie:Spraken noh Staaten and its subcategories. Be sure to include the definite article for countries like "the Gambia", "the Netherlands", "the United Kingdom", and "the United States of America".

setwiki: Sets a link to a Wikipedia article.

This parameter should contain the Wikipedia article name that contains information about the language. (ex.: setwiki=Dutch Low Saxon in Category:Dutch Low Saxon language)
If setwiki is blank or omitted, the category name will be automatically used as link to the Wikipedia article.
If setwiki=- (setwiki containing only a single hyphen), no Wikipedia article link will be added.

setsister: Sets a link to a Wikimedia Commons category.

This parameter should contain the Wikimedia Commons category name that contains links about the language. (ex.: setsister=Slovenian language in Category:Slovene language)
If setsister is blank or omitted, the category name will be automatically used as link to the Wikimedia Commons category.
If setsister=- (setsister containing only a single hyphen), no Wikimedia Commons category link will be added.

entryname: Sets the name of the English term for the language to link to.

If entryname is blank or omitted, the category name will be automatically used.

Deprecated parameters[ännern]

These are old parameters that imitate some functions of the previous ones. These deprecated parameters are still working but should preferably not be used anymore.

nowiki=1: The same as setwiki=-.

nosister=1: The same as setsister=-.
