This template is used to help automatic categorization at language categories and subcategories. It should never be called directly

Usage

This template should be added to the code of other templates. It returns a language name followed by "language", if desired.

Parameters

This template uses only one unnamed parameter to call the language name.

{{{1}}} : Language code. See Category:Language code templates.

{{{nolangname}}} : Should be blank or omitted. Otherwise, the template does not return the language name.

Examples

• {{languageshift|en}} returns Engelsch.
• {{languageshift|ko}} returns Koreaansch.
• {{languageshift|grc}} returns Ooldgreeksch.
• {{languageshift|ase}} returns Amerikaansche Tekenspraak (and not Vörlaag:ase language).
• {{languageshift|dse}} returns Dutch Sign Language (and not Vörlaag:dse language).

Additionally:

• {{languageshift|en|nolangname=1}} returns .
• {{languageshift|ko|nolangname=1}} returns .
• {{languageshift|ase|nolangname=1}} returns (nothing).
