Basic parameters

Details

isbn ISBN: The ISBN of the work.
date: The date (month, and optionally day) of publication
location: Where the book was published
id: Any other identifier ({{LCC}} for example)
genre: What genre is the work.
passage {{{6}}}: The citation itself
translation: The translation for foreign passages.
transliteration: The transliteration for passages in non-Latin script

Pinpointing location

volume: Which volume of the work
volume_plain: Used for volumes that are not called volumes (e.g. "Book II")
chapter: Which chapter within the work
section: Which section of the work (similar to chapter, but for things that should not be in quotation marks. Can be used for numerical chapters (e.g. "XVI" or "Chapter 6"))
pageurl: A link directly to the page containing the quote.

Derived works

edition: To specify a different edition.
original: The original title (if different, for example translated)
type: What kind of derivation was this work (assumes "translation", only used when original is set)
by: Who was the original work by (in the case of a translation or derivative work), the author should be set to the author of the derivative.
year_published: What date was the derivative work (i.e. a 2005 edition of a 1665 work uses year=1665|year_published=2005)

Quoting quotations

quoted_in: Where does this citation come from, if not directly from the work.
quotee: Which author quoted this citation.
